Thanks for the working  link John. And letting me know the Ozark one was  showing   the St Francis  gage from july 8th .  I actually clicked on the St Francis link this time that  showed the current  date and  the supposedly  water level for St Francis,  and got   ” No data were found using your search criteria” Un real. //    From my attempt to give others a working link for the St. I ended up getting   a working link.  Nice when things work out like that.

It was me that  was rescued. f ( first time ive been on the message board sense then.) I didn’t get in the z route eddy. I slipped backwards then sideways on the rock behind the eddy. I leaned down river tword the rock I was against but still flipped. Once against the undercut rock I  tried pushing myself back  probally 4  times and couldn’t do it. The first   attempt  I didn’t realize it was an under cut.  I now think it was a  very  unwise  decidtion of me  to even     keep trying to get myself out once I realize it was about a 45 degree  angle undercut rock I was against.  I quit trying after  4 tries and yelled that I need help . I didn’t know for certain but I felt like if my feet would slip  and went against the rock, which would have put my body  at 45 degree angle I did not think I could have stayed above water or got out being at that steep angle.  As I could not even push my self out being straight up .I then put my right foot up on the rock as my legs are much stronger then my arms. Once I did that I felt very comfortable safe  and secure to just hangout intell help came. I was lucky to be paddling with a lot of people that day. I actually was very calm intell  they pulled me out and I thought about what if this had happened on a day I was paddling alone and no one was paddling  on the river for most the day .As happens a lot on week days.    Then   It was kind of freaky to me and I felt like it could have been a very bad outcome if not for the people that were there and pulled me out. I thanked you all then, but I want to give you all another BIG THANK YOU  !

cjw4d  , You very well already know this. But just incase you don’t , I wanted to let you know they close the cascade road  to camping doing  upper nanny schedule releases.  Closed   way up past the cascade put in .I wanted to camp at the large campsite on the right above the put in one time and was not allowed to because    no camping was allowed on  upper  scheduled releases.  Now above that good campsite I think its allowed. I just drove a ways up the road and didn’t see any places. But I didn’t go but a couple miles at the most farther. If you know of spots farther up your fine. Good luck.

Great video !  The combination of the whitewater in ways your really feeling  the  life of the water like you were there.  Nice paddling shots.  Great scenery shots combined with awesome and artistic editing of scenes. With great overlaps, moving clouds … Loved the slow motion right at the time of the lost paddle in the falls drop. With him slowly lifting his arms in the air surrounded by the  falling and pounding water. Was great. It may have been an’ Oh shit, or O well moment at the time .But I appreciate how these type of video segments  shows the calm composer and thinking of; keep on doing what ever you can do from this point now .The ever changing dynamics and decisions of whitewater paddling.I defiantly connect to this as things often don’t go as I hoped or planed.   All of this made it a good and very enjoyable video. To me the best videos are the ones that gives you a sense of the beauty ,and a little feeling of being in  theses beautiful and awesome areas. Places you know you will never get to, or see  any other way. This one did that. Thanks for sharing. Hope you share more in the future.

Yes ,you could paddle alongside your son. That is IF they will rent out a single ducky to a 9 year old. ? that I don’t know. But as an adult they just take every one too   the put in and you can go at your own speed. Stay out there all day if you want. // Well now I see you were going to put him in a raft with other people. I see no reason why you couldn’t paddle beside them. They have no say about the kayaks paddling around them. Kayaks are  always  around the rafts.. Good luck
