I am planning to bring my raft assuming the river is between 0″ and bridge level at D. I spotted a large tire near where we removed the culvert. So I was thinking of going between roselle and millstream( possibly down to D if time allows). I am hoping to start in the morning so that we could arrive at millstream in time to have help getting the large tire up to the parking lot. My guess is that it might take about 7 people to get the tire on Dan and my rafts and down the river. There is other junk to be picked up as well. Is any one else interested in joining the effort from roselle down?

Both fishermans and Hollywood beach(there was no beach) were in the trees with significant current. There were
5 boaters getting off the river. I think we should have looked at the take out no matter which we had chosen. I had been down the river the day before and we had stopped at the millstream “putin” without problem(however I had looked at it before we ran the upper and knew what it was like at that level). I made the mistake of not having the others that were with us on Friday going down and looking at what would be their takeout. We could have looked at the other potential takeouts. None were simple options. I still believe that if the spacing of boats had been different that the outcome would have been different.

I have my pogies back. I want to thank whoever got them to the lost and found and Mike Leininger for keeping them for me to pick up.

If the river remains very low it might be possible to pull trash from the river bed and pile it on the side so when the river goes up we could pick it up with canoes and or rafts. this is probably most easily done from millstream to highway D takeout.

unfortunately i will miss the meeting as i am heading to the Gauley. My only suggestion is to run the experts first then you can use some of the experts to help with safety for the novices.

Happy to see that you were able to do a pre permit run. Did you put in on cape horn creek or did you drive in to marsh creek on a gravel road? I got back this weekend having done a low water trip on the middle fork putting in at boundary creek. For those planning to run marsh creek into the middle fork be very careful of wood in the creek.

it is currently at a low level. it will take significant rain to bring it up to a juicy level. currently high enough to run however many rocks to avoid. watch the guage . current predictions are not hopeful for any kind of juicy level.
