Ha! No it is kayaking. I would be open to setting up canoe class if there is a call for it, though.

The artist is not a paddler. She is a new addition tho the Mehlville staff. I didn’t catch the art faux pas:)

You know it’s a good video when I scream out “Whoa sh*t, Buddy” like 3 times. Glad no one else was within earshot of me.

Hi Mac. For 2022 we will have a beginner class on flatwater for first-timers.  Lets call it “WW101”.  Most people taking the Spring Clinic get WW101 in a pool class but we had an instructor offer this option on flatwater near the Saint.

Registration will open Feb 1 and close April 1 for the May 14-16th, 2022 clinic.  If they register make sure they understand that ww boats and gear is required!!

      Thanks,

Hello, RStrong83.  I will have WebMama check that out, but I did get several inquiries via that email.  Most were inquiring about 2020 clinic registration…which is OPEN  now until April 10 or until it is full.

Some inquiries were about layering for the sport and whether drysuits are necessary…I told them a drysuit will make their Missouri paddling experience much better because they can paddle in the cooler temps and layer with out cotton. Not having a  drysuits are not a deal breaker.

Shoot me a question here if you can because if you want to know the answer I am sure many other people would like to know too!

Hi Michael, We paddled our 125th monthly “Sunset Race” on Thursday.  We now go from Greentree to 141 and back.  It was perfectly smooth with no riffles and plenty of eddys as it is cookin’.  A thunderstorm came up and scared most of us off the river but those who trudged on said it was no issue in that stretch.

FYI, on the 2nd Thursday of every month we paddle Greentree to 141.  We have a great clan of people.  It generally starts around sunset and takes about an hour and a half.  In the summer months we start in the daylight and end at Sunset.

Then we go to TJ Wings afterward.

Anyone who would like to join please do.

Chris Ward- the registration process will be the same as it is with the clinic. I’m running a little behind on getting the Clinic’s registration online. I will talk to the web diva tomorrow about getting it up and running. Thank you for asking I will post wind the online registration is up. Jo

Wild Bill, If we get enough participants would you teach a C1 class instead of OC1?  Is mixed OC1 and C1 and OC2 an option or do you want just one type of canoe?  Jo
