At the top of the page is the negative reading. Currently it’s -1.8″. He’s saying don’t below -6″.

Both of them work for me.
I wanted to compare my times with everyone’s best slalom times so I created this for others to view as well.

Chris Ward and I have also parked here once before. Not sure if anyone cared or not.
Yep, I’m sure I’ll see you around. Take care.

A group of us parked at a little pull off on Hwy D the last time we ran it. It required us to paddle the lake, but there’s some decent rapids near the 72 bridge.

American whitewater has this on their flow info. I’d say it’s pretty accurate.

Look for 1′ of rain within 6 hours at the Glover rain gage.
A paddler’s gauge is on the Hwy E bridge at the put-in. The gauge is new (12/27/2005) so the minimum is not known, maybe 2.0 ft(?). The gauge has yet to be correlated with any of the USGS gauges but a crude indicator of runnability is for the St. Francis to be greater than 5 feet.

Awesome story! I know exactly what you mean by the steep hill. I took the same “wrong” trail and got enough service at the top to get my map to load. Finally got down to the bottom and took this crappy video (before I started learning how to edit better)

      Hey Steven,

The river is too frozen right now. I’d expect it to be runnable by Tuesday or Wednesday. Hope that still works for his schedule.

Park on the side of the road here for the put in: https://goo.gl/maps/FQw9LU9MpCZEzqXj6

Take out is at Millstream since lower stouts dumps into the St. Francis.

Hey Michael, I’d put them on FB marketplace and join/post them on the FB group called whitewater gear for sale. You’ll get a lot more visibility than here.

While jumping at the cliffs of kinkaid lake last week… I imagined that would be a perfect place to scuba dive. I bet people lose stuff there all the time.

You could park here I guess and add just a bit more to the run. At high levels, I cant imagine it would take very long.
