Sorry to hear it man. That sucks something fierce. I talked to Julie about the theft of their two boats a few weeks back. What is with the stealing? Are these isolated incidents or does this happen all the time with other paddlers? Do you guys think its other boaters that are doing this and if so is there anyway we can petition the parks to get some parking cameras or signs indicating surveillance at the parking spots. Would it be illegal at Millstream to slap on some cheap motion activated wildlife cameras on the trees close to our vehicles?

Raymond If I were you, I would check the local craigslist or pawn shops, might get lucky. Hopefully something will turn up or somebody gets caught doing this. Sorry again man.

I think your right Jerry. It’s ok, got another fresh paddler wanting to start up white water here at the lake. Gonna go paddle on some flat water with him. Maybe next week.

Thanks guys for the input. I picked up a couple of harmony bow bags. Your advice is much appreciated. On another note, Julie I read that your from Columbia. I’m at Lake of the Ozarks. You wouldn’t by chance know of any paddlers at the lake would you? It seems like my buddy and I are the only ww paddlers here. Would love to get in touch with a small community here.  Thanks again.

I was planning on coming down tomorrow if there was anybody else running. I would still like to go, but like you, I don’t know how the river is going to end up around 10 or 11. If it weren’t for Christmas Eve and 6 kids, I would run it with you Dan. I’m banking on Sunday perhaps. Hopefully wife and kids will be so blown after Friday that they wont even miss me. Have a great Christmas everybody.

Thanks anyway Dan. I ended up buying a new 8.6 Mamba Creeker from Appomattox River Company. Got a pretty good deal on the thing. Boat and shipping only ran me 950.
