      I’m not sure who is behind this- Jim or the Park Service- but they do not want us to park at the gates anymore as this may induce others to walk the trail. #1, as it is private property, I’m not sure it is enforceable, and #2 The alternative still doesn’t keep people from walking the trail and #3. I have received no information that walking the trail in any of the parks is being forbidden.

      So now we are being asked to park at the new bridge, along the road. The best takeout is going on under the bridge, to a sandy beach with the road itself being not too far away and no brush.

      Di and I are NOT going to upset any apple carts, and park, as requested, but we still plan on either bringing 2 cars, or hiking the trail if a beautiful day like today.

      Millstream remains totally open.

      I have tried and failed to teach my cats the meaning of “NO”. It is easier teaching Latin to Dogs.
