The river was at -5″ yesterday and Di and I were out to do “route improvement” and clean the river bank. When we got to MS parking lot there was a crew of stream team with canoes and trailers for tires. They are:

I think it is totally awesome that while they have minimum interaction with our river, they have a maximum impact!
Di and I were on the river for about six hours mixing the enjoyment of running the river (yes, it’s still fun at neg 5″) and working. We then went to Fredtown to eat and then joined this crew at the group campsite for a beer and learned they pulled more than 10 tires out of the Little Saint. (Di and I got one tire= major work!). So a big thanks to all and hope if I left anyone out that Jeff will add their names to my list.
