Ok, for now I’ve replaced our website gauge with a link to the USACE Roselle Gauge until we can get a feed of the level again.

One app I have found uses the USACE info:

      RiverFlows for Andriod:
      https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riverflows&hl=en

I’ve also found the Roselle level published by the USACE every hour here:
      http://rivergages.mvr.usace.army.mil/WaterControl/shefdata2.cfm?sid=CE62308E&d=7&dt=S

      Thanks Don!

I got an update for IOS for Apple users

I talked with the guys at RiverApp and they have replaced their Roselle gauge from USGS with data from weather.gov.

Working on using this feed for the conversion of D gauge.

      “Thanks Don!”

Wow – folks (and dogs) have gotten me & Delgado mixed up in person before, and even on TV (my own mother), but this is the first time on the message board!

Or did you have a different Don in mind?

      😉

In any case – thanks everybody!  Including Campground Jim and rehkop82.

Oh my goodness, JW corrected me via email – Sorry Slim!!!
I’m gonna have to throw a profile picture into your account – better watch out.

However, this is what happens when you nerd out a little bit and get excited.
I think we ( Chris A ) can get the D-bridge gauge back online soon with the data from weather.gov

Hmmmmm…….where are these guages located? Does anyone know?

Is it the same site as OUR gauge is?

One Roselle gauge, but many websites that display the data from the gauge.
The gauge is where it has always been (at Roselle, 72 bridge over the St. Francis), still working.
The data had been shown on USGS, USACE & NOAA websites. Now USGS has dropped Roselle from their system.

USGS was providing more data to us (including tabular, etc., which was the basis for our website to display the level) than USACE does. However, it turns out that NOAA also has more data available than just the level chart. So Chris & Casara are going to pull the (same) data from the NOAA site & make it show up on our MWA site for us.

So it’s not the equipment that is duplicated, it’s the websites displaying the data. Each agency has “a better idea” I suppose. Think of it as redundancy (which is better than no dundancy at all).
