I’m posting this particularly since it’s race training season – the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) is asking the public to steer clear of any activity near the Meramec River between Fenton and the Mississippi River. Refer to the article here: http://www.kmov.com/story/31093386/msd-avoid-contact-with-the-meremac-river-between-fenton-and-the-mississippi-river.

I think the Meramec/141 area that we normally boat in is slightly upstream from the plant, but I just wanted to pass the info. along for good measure.

When I was a kid growing up in a small town in Tenn with no waste treatment, you knew which homes had defective septic systems ? We were out playing one day and Gary Wayne fell into the “run off” and became known forever as “Sewage Ditch”

You know also around Lake Killarney….which by the way is still being drained.

      What a mess!
