A huge Wahoo thanks goes out to the Nieblings for hosting the t-shirt roll party last night and to all those who sacrificed their Monday night to help out. For those who did not attend you missed out on some awesome Chris Matsuno brownies.
We have a special event planned for this year’s race, Thursday slalom course and venue set-up. This is intended to make the Friday set-up a piece of cake so that we can all enjoy our Friday afternoon as we prepare for the Downriver Race and the ensuing shindig party at the Silvermines pavilion.
So for those retirees and people like me who have an eye problem and just can’t see themselves coming into work on Thursday, do I have an opportunity for you. Let’s plan on meeting at the Millstream parking lot at noon so we can get-er done. We’ll definitely plan on some extra time afterwards to test gate positions and scout lines for the downriver. A group dinner outing would be good as well and rumor has it that your favorite Race Director will be bringing his extra special recipe New Mexico Green Chile Pineapple Upside Down Cake to spice things up. This could very well be a new tradition to start the next 50 years of the Missouri Whitewater Championships.
