The gates are all hung by the channels with care.
It could hardly have gone quicker, if you had been there.
We had slackers, ISUCK’rs, wandering Wyomians, and those who just care.
A beautiful sunny day, at the river we love.
What more could you ask for, except for a river level above [0].
So come when you can, and check out the course, and curse at gate 9, which is tricky but not worse [than 2017].
If you get there in time, you can even help put up some tarps, the job that gets neglected until Chris & Jim do it.
But be sure to be there in time for the downriver race; the meeting’s at 4:30, with racing at 5.
And no matter the weather, the temperature, the rain, the river level, the pain, the whine, or the wind,
we’ll see you at Silvermines, with music and beer, and BBQ, and fun, to kickoff race weekend.
Rhyming is overrated.
