Scroll down to see our donations for the volunteer drawing and check back to see future donations. Sign up here racevolunteer@missouriwhitewater.org to volunteer, so you will have a chance to win!

Anyone can volunteer, even your favorite mother-n-law! Whitewater experience not required. This can give you something to do while your significant other races and ignores you all day. There are half day and all day shifts.                More people = More fun!

Some of the many possibilities are:

Volunteer Coordinator – This puts you in the position to make new friends and assign them their positions.
Judging – You’ll get training and a front row view with this position! This is about an 8 hour commitment on Saturday (with a lunch break), a few hours less (usually) on Sunday. Contact Michael Dee: mdee@jburroughs.org
Start – All you need is a voice, work a stop watch, or a walkie-talkie, for this one.
Finish – Work a stop watch or walkie talkie.
Announcer – Wouldn’t you love to commentate for a few hours?
T-Shirt Sales – Spend a few hours at the Big Drop sales table.
Registration – You will get to know all of the boaters names handing out registration packets and collecting used bibs at the Pavilion.
Timing Tent – Here you get to track race results.
Boat Lift – Are you agile, energetic and like to play with climbing gear?
Safety – (the only job that requires boating experience) Here you get to play in your boat and help an occasional swimmer or boat to shore. Or you can hang out on a rock, and stand ready to throw a rope.
Soliciting Volunteer Drawing Prizes – Do you have an outgoing personality?

The Volunteer Raffle is held at the end of the day on Sunday, after everyone helps take down the race course. The races are March 19 & 20, 2016.

If you have a donation you’d like to make, or a suggestion on who to contact for a donation, contact Ellen donations@missouriwhitewater.org

      Frank / Ellen,

I sent you a PM, but today I obtained 4 – $20 Gift Certificates form Mary Jane Burgers & Brew in Perryville.

I mentioned to Carissa, that I would post her event on our message board (although it’s a little late).

This weekend March 5, she is having a 5k Polar Beer Run, so if anyone’s interested check out their webpage for more details.

      Polar Beer 5K

I will bring the gift cards to set-up weekend, unless I see you earlier.

You can save money on hotel rooms with this Insulated Double Z 20x72x4 REGULAR sleeping pad donation from Big Agnes!  I have a similar one and think it’s more comfortable than most hotel beds that I sleep in.
