We are heading down from KC to run the St Francis Mill Stream to Silver Mine on 4/6-4/7. The weather doesn’t look like much rain this week and we are curious what some of you think about the river if it is at 3 -3.5 ft.?  We are not experts but are capable boaters with proper gear. Want some fun and challenge, without dragging or risk of death.

      Thank you for the input.

Its really hard to say if it will be above 0 (3 ft) next weekend. The river is on the rise from the rains overnight, but who knows how much it goes up. There is also a good chance for storms this weekend so that could help big time.

The river at 3-3.5 ft is fun. Some wave/hole features begin to appear (Little Drop near the end is great at lower levels). A swim at this level is probably more invigorating than terrifying. With lower flows, self rescue is really easy.
