Help run wire, paddle, drink a beer, camp–all with your paddling pals. …SUNDAY (moved from Saturday) morning March 15th, please check in at 10:00 at the Millstream Gardens pavilion to help run wires for the 53nd Annual MWC!
Bring wire cutters, pliers, pocket knife, and leather gloves. Wear sturdy shoes for being on the rocks. Plan to wear bright clothes so you are easily seen across the river.  Obviously, dress for the weather.
If you are helping for the first time, team leaders will let you know how you can help. We are grateful for your help!
If you are a returning helper and would like work on river right or ferry string across the river, please let me know ahead of time.
After we finish with setup, hopefully around 1:00, there will be a slalom clinic on four or five gates. It is free for those who help with setup.
Also, for all who help, there will be a gathering at the Silvermines Group Campground SATURDAY evening with complimentary camping and beer provided for those who are 21 and older.  (Friday camping also free in Group site).  Remaining beer available Sunday afternoon.
Check out this MWC primer: https://vimeo.com/124411745 shot and edited by our very own John Neibling.
Please let me know if you have any questions. THANK YOU in advance!

Free camping for volunteers at the Group Campground on Saturday night.  AND ON FRIDAY NIGHT 3/13.  (because there was a 2-night minimum to make a reservation…).

ATTENTION:  please do not prune any limbs, etc., per MDOC rules.

Wire hanging still on for Sunday morning.  Dress for cold weather!  (don’t rely on huddling together for warmth)

If you aren’t feeling well, or have cold or flu symptoms, stay home!!

Bridge level after my last lap.  Could easily be over tomorrow if the rain keeps coming.
