The Cali trip proved to be a hungry one! Little bro tore his rotator cuff on day 1 of the trip in Gore Canyon;
He couldn’t resist spending anymore days off the water, and opted to tackle “MixMaster” Rapid on the North Fork Yuba;
While bigN’fluffy, his shoulder gave way and resulted in a fine booty-brew!
As for myself, was feeling real good about running the meatline of Gore Rapid for the first time; Must have got complacent and swam in the infamous Gore “Toilet Bowl” only a mile or so downstream!
Later in the trip, took a thrashing on South Fork Merced, made a few bad decisions, and pulled the freedom cord!
Sometimes you work the river; Sometimes the river works you;
and remember! If you’re not swimming, your not boating enough!
