paddled the wash out at Howell Island today. The gage was at 23.5 at St. Charles and 26 on the causeway spray-painted gage. The feature was a river wide hole/death trap. Tons of wood coming thru. Look for the feature to be good when the river rises a few more feet. Will be a small wave compared to the old days, but still some retention. The predictor has the river topping out at about 26.5 feet tomorrow. (But I can’t paddle tomorrow)

Hey Joe, give me a shout next time you’re headed out there. I forget what levels are non-terminal and always enjoy the company. Afraid it’s just dawn patrol and evenings starting around 6:30 for me tho.
