Wild Bill is on the cover of the March 2018 edition of Rural Missouri (the magazine of Missouri Electric Cooperatives)! It’s not Sports Illustrated, but hopefully it won’t have the same cover jinx! The photo was taken by Paul Newton, the Managing Editor, at the 50th Annual MWC.
There is a short article about the races, and another picture of a decked canoeist – Michelle Jones , I believe (if I read the bib # correctly). And on the website, there is a photo of still-another C1 racer, my cousin Mike Warren, from 2016 I think.
I guess decked canoes are more photogenic!
Great publicity for the races!
