Below is a video of my PFD down Clear Creek just outside of Denver.
Never ran the section before, and while the water was not totally pumpin’, it made for some fun continuous whitewater. Some rapids of note are Black Rock rapid, the really fast and fun ‘clear creek narrows’, and the finale’ big hitter, Rigomortis.
A ton of fun had by all!

I remember running Clear Creek. We put in below Rigormortis, and ran it all the way down to the park section into town, if this is the same section I’m thinking of. We were boating with Eric Princen of Boatertalk fame. I rermemnber getting asll cocky at one point and taking the lead, and I heard Eric yelling “Left! Left! as I skirted a big ole hole on my right! And I caught it’s wrath and flipped, and I tucked tight and bumped my helmet over some substantial rocks before I rolled up! Whew! 🙂
