The Mississippi level is 10.8ft and dropping. Anybody want to do a little park and play tomorrow, or after work this week? I’ve only been once so I’d need someone to go with who knows the waves and play spots

I just got back to town and was thinking the same thing. Only the Chain is still too high. It’s projected to come down to boatable levels in August. Unbelievable that we haven’t had any Chain days this summer. There was a time when you could count on it in the summer.

I will be back in the area next week and would be down for any and all Chain days until the eclipse!

Bump for gage below 10′, Joe’s rule of thumb.  My schedule is flexible this week so I’d like to find a weekday paddler to Join me!

~8′ today. Primo was in. (It was a last-minute decision for me.) Looks like it is headed back up.

SO, it is quite a hike to the river now. The turn-off to the parking lot at the low-head dam is closed. You can park at the Route 66 bridge. But you have to hike to the river, and there is not a direct trail.

If it’s still down, would anyone want to do an after-work session tomorrow, Wednesday the 9th? I can be there by 4:15 at the earliest

Made it out there with Joe once on each of the past two weekends. Haven’t gotten my act together for this weekend yet but I’d be interested in a late Saturday run. Pretty friendly at this lower level.

Dang, just saw the previous message. I’m interested in paddling the Chain as much as possible, which takes planning.

I’m not getting replies. Joe S says he can go 10 am Sunday. I’m more flexible.
