      Free!

Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts is excited to announce the Grand Opening of our newest park, River’s Edge! The festivities will include hands-on outdoor activities including kayaking demos, paddle boating, a nature walk, fishing instruction and a tree planting. Free snacks will be available to the first 200 people.

River’s Edge is a beautiful 188-acre passive park with a 38.5-acre lake. The park features a 2+ mile crushed limestone walking trail with breathtaking scenery and wonderful wildlife. The park is located on the north side of the levee near the Taubman Prestige Outlets at the western end of the parking lot. Parking is in the shared parking lot of the outlet mall.

You have been invited to bring your kayak and “PLAY” on River’s Edge Lake during the Grand Opening of River’s Edge Park. Check out this beautiful lake within this beautiful park in Chesterfield Valley. All are welcome. Contact Cathy if any questions. cmccredie@charter.net

I’ve heard there’s a challenge for paddle jousting, SUP vs Kayak.

Come join us. It will be a fantastic day on this beautiful lake. There is a short walk (about 1/8 mile) from parking lot to the lake. If you have a larger rec boat, you might want to bring your wheels. Or if you arrive between 10:30-10:45 there will be a pickup truck running shuttle. Or some of us will just plan on carrying in, just part of our workout. We will be paddling the east side of the lake so we will not interfere with the fishing demos on the west side of the lake. Contact Cathy if any questions. Cmccredie@charter.net
