Registration is open! This is the perfect way to start the pursuit of whitewater kayaking. You will build fundamental skills indoors, in a warm pool. Skills include strokes, edging, the roll, and blending strokes for river maneuvers. Discussion will cover safety, gear, river running, and more. The curriculum is congruent with ACA Level 1: Introduction to River Kayaking L1_IK_Skills.pdf (americancanoe.org).
- Younger participants are welcome, with prior instructor approval IF (a) they enroll with an adult (parent/caregiver) who will participate in the class with the child, and (b) they have a boat that fits the young person. Please talk to the instructors (see below).
