MWA Spring River trip

This annual trip on the Spring River (northern Arkansas, near Mammoth Spring) includes a fun 5-mile stretch that we run both Saturday & Sunday. All are welcome. Campsites for sharing are reserved. A group pot-luck dinner, Mexican-themed, is planned for Saturday night.
This trip is a perfect way to safely practice skills after the MWA Whitewater Clinic. The Spring River is very paddle-friendly, class 2-2+ with several “steps” that offer some opportunities for paddlers of all levels. Details:
Put In – Jim Hinkle Spring River State Fish Hatchery.
Take Out – Spring River Oak Campground.
Camping – Spring River Oak Campground. Last year we had three campsites and two cabins. The campground is along the river and we are able to spread out. There are some nice grassy campsites across from the cabins and closer to the take out (but further from the river side sites we used last year).
