Di and I did the Black River yesterday and I would say about 1/5 is brand new routes. It really got flooded out. We also had log obstructions 3 times that we had to walk around. (I’m sure the canoe liveries will cut these out once the season starts rolling around.) Huge downed trees are lining the banks and root wads everywhere.
The water is crystal clear so we saw lots of fish, one eagle and chattering well-fed Kingfishers.
There’s some new beautiful sandy clean beaches, which made me think a great place to camp with the wood everywhere..
At home, We have Jonquils poking out of the ground today…..hope they know something.
