      Thank you to everyone who organized, showed up, shuttled, loaned gear and paddled safety for us newcomers.  We are easing into the sport as my kids grow.  Much appreciation for taking our limited courage and skill levels into consideration and for making this trip such an enjoyable one for the Oelzen family.

      Ryan, Luke and Grant Oelzen will be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For any other beginners out there, we don’t plan on doing any hard paddling.  We plan on doing the Nantahala at least once. My sons are better paddlers than I, so I plan on renting a ducky again this year. Thanks to all who organized this trip. See you there!
