Anybody can volunteer – whitewater experience not required! Need something to do while your significant other races and ignores you all day? Some of the many possibilities are:
      Judging
      – You’ll get training and a front row view with this position! This is about an 8 hour commitment on Saturday (with a lunch break), a few hours less (usually) on Sunday. Contact Michael Dee: mdee@jburroughs.org
Start – All you need is a voice, work a stop watch, or a walkie-talkie, for this one!
Finish – You get to work a stop watch or walkie talkie.
T-Shirt Sales – Spend a few hours at the Big Drop sales table and meet everyone!!
Registration – You will get to know all of the boaters names handing out registration packets and collecting used bibs at the Pavilion.
Timing Tent – Here you get to track race results.
Announcer – Wouldn’t you love to commentate for a few hours?
Boat Lift – Are you agile, energetic and like to play with climbing gear?
Solicit Raffle prizes – Do you have an outgoing personality?
Safety – (the only job that requires a bit of experience) Here you get to play in your boat and help an occasional swimmer or boat to shore. Or you can hang out on a rock, and stand ready to throw a rope.

We do two shifts each day, these are not all day jobs.
      More people = More fun!

The Volunteer Raffle is held at the end of the day on Sunday, after everyone helps take down the race course.

The races are March 21 & 22, 2015. Contact Bill Fordyce to Volunteer Today: racevolunteer@missouriwhitewater.org.

If you have a donation you’d like to make or a suggestion on who to contact for a donation contact me,

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Alpine Shop http://www.alpineshop.com/ and Pyranha rep Bill Eades  for helping us obtain the canoe and kayak to be raffled off. Tickets for this boat raffle are $1 each or 6/$5.

The Alpine shop is also sponsoring MWA Pint night on Thursday, March 12 from 6 – 9pm. You will pay $10 for a glass that will be filled twice with a local craft beer.  They will then donate the proceeds from the pint glasses to the MWA to help defray the cost of the raffle canoe.https://www.facebook.com/events/345160139018242
