The of the month is near and that at means that in order to enter the lotteries for the Salmon, Middle fork of the Salmon or Selway they need to be in by the end of the month. Last year the middle fork had a blowout in the upper river that left log jams blocking the river. This may or may not wash out with spring high water so I would advise putting in for July or August permits on the middle fork. The last 2 weeks of June is generally the best time for the Selway. The Main Salmon has enough water July and August and is the easiest of the rivers to run. In general if you win a permit and want to kayak or canoe raft support can be found are a self support trip could be organized.
The permit applications are with Rec.gov and under individual rivers or 4 rivers lottery. Let me know if you have Questions.
