A classic from the late-nineties, yet not ageless. It has no abrasion or obvious damage, however the gelcoat has become brittle and is showing hairline cracks all over. There’s also a small chip where it comes to a point. I retrofitted it last season with new straps, buckle, & stainless rivets from FNA as the originals were downright clunky. I feel it’s no longer safe for the majority of paddling situations, but put it up for grabs as a squirt lid for use only in well known/safe arenas or if someone possibly wanted to pull a plug from it. Price is firm as fiberglass… I’d just as soon retire it to the mantelpiece.
