KAYAKING – WHITEWATER PADDLING FUNDAMENTALS
This is the perfect way to start the pursuit of whitewater kayaking. You will begin building fundamental skills indoors, in a warm pool. Skills include strokes, edging, and the roll, plus blending strokes for river maneuvers. Discussion will cover safety, gear, river running, and more. (Space is limited! Don’t delay if you are interested.)When: Six weeks, Wednesday evenings 7:30 to 9:30, October 21 through December 2 (there will be no class on November 25 for Thanksgiving)
Where: Mehlville High School pool
Cost: $90; plus an additional $25 for equipment rental (boat, skirt, paddle) if needed.Minimum Age: 15
