Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking
This is the perfect way to get started in whitewater kayaking. You will begin building fundamental skills indoors, in a warm pool. Skills include strokes, braces, and the roll, plus blending strokes for river maneuvers. Discussion will cover safety, boats/gear, river and kayaking concepts and terminology, and more.
When: Wednesday evenings 7:30 to 9:00, April 12 through May 17
Where: Mehlville High School pool
Cost: $90; plus an additional $25 for equipment rental (boat, skirt, PFD, paddle) if needed.
Minimum Age: 15
Participants: 4 (minimum) to 8 (maximum)
