Some MWA members are planning a paddling trip to areas near Quito, Ecuador, guided by the company “Endless River Adventures” (ERA), Jan 10-18, 2025, Whitewater Kayaking Ecuador: Kayaking Quijos and Tena – ERA (endlessriveradventures.com)

ERA has flexible trip itineraries to accommodate Class II – Class IV+ white water paddlers, and can customize a trip to include kayakers, shredders, and rafts, as well as non-paddling partners. 

Cost for a week is under $1,750, all included, except the round trip airfare, which is likely $800-1,000 (arranged by you).  A $350.00 deposit is necessary to hold your space for this trip (see link above), with the full balance due 45 days before your departure date. Jan 10-18, 2025 dates are held for MWA members.

Basic schedule is:

10th – arrive Quito. Airport shuttle & sleeping accommodations included.
11th – Cultural experience & go to lodge (2 1/2 hrs away).
11-17th – paddle & stay in ERA’S lodge.
17th – late afternoon shuttle to Quito, dinner, & hotel.
18th – airport shuttle & experience ends.
