Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking
This is the perfect way to get started in whitewater kayaking. You will begin building fundamental skills indoors, in a warm pool. Skills include strokes, braces, and the roll, plus blending strokes for river maneuvers. Discussion will cover safety, gear, river running, trip planning, and more.
When: Wednesday evenings 7:30 to 9:00, February 1st through March 8th
Where: Mehlville High School pool
Cost: $90; plus an additional $25 for equipment rental (boat, skirt, PFD, paddle) if needed.
Minimum Age: 15
Participants: 4 (minimum) to 8 (maximum)

Request for Volunteers:
Get some pool time in return for helping with the class. We’ll need some help with boat logistics and other general support of the class. There is no special skill requirement to help with the class. Send a PM to Joe Sartori if you are interested.
