♟️ Chess Lesson hosted by the Saint Louis Chess Club, offered to veterans.  This event is free of charge and part of Team Red, White, Blue (Team RWB) & TRR’s mission to build community, resilience, and connection (in creative ways during the paddling off-season).

Veterans, their +1, and volunteers are invited to join us for an evening of friendly, beginner-welcoming chess lesson taught by instructors from the Saint Louis Chess Club. Participants will learn:

• Chess fundamentals and rules
• Basic strategies and tactics
• How to continue improving through SLCC community classes, lessons, and open play opportunities

After the lesson, join us for a docent-led museum experience featuring chess history, cultural exhibits, and rotating art galleries at the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries.  Learn more about the club’s education programs on their website.
