The Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) Guest Appreciation Festival (GAF) is next weekend, September 27 – 29, 2019, https://noc.com/events/guest-appreciation-festival-gaf?cta=HomePhotoRotator
I’ll be there with Ed Stevens & meeting up with at least 5 other Missouri boaters (mostly novices). We will meet Friday, 9/27/19 at 10:00 am at the parking lot for the put in of the Lower Nantahala River, ready to boat (NOT at the store). There’s rarely cell or text service at this spot. Anyone is welcome to join us. I’ll be at my car– a white Subaru Outback, Missouri plates, with a red/white teardrop camper attached.
You’ll need a Nantahala day (or annual) pass, which you can get from the NOC store (at the take-out), before meeting up with us.
Ed & I are camping at the recently opened Nantahala Tiny Homes & RV Park, https://nthrv.com/, about 2 miles from the NOC.
