<p>DR is made of three things:</p>
<p>1. Physical stamina.</p>
<p>2. River reading to know the fastest line.</p>
<p>3. The skills to put to use 1. And 2.</p>
<p>If someone is dictating #2, doesn&#8217;t seem right.</p>
<p>Go fast, take chances. Just because someone else can&#8217;t keep thier bow online doesn&#8217;t mean you can&#8217;t.</p>

<p>I think most folks use the double pump method, that works too, I just prefer the way I do it because you can get the pirouette spin as well 🙂</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday, somebody took my gear bag from the bed of my truck while I was at work, at NOC. In it there was:</p>
<p>1 G&#8217;Power Twister slalom padde size L, only 4 of these were ever sold in the USA</p>
<p>1 Nantahala Outdoor Center Astral Green Jacket, only 12 of these were ever made, its yellow and blue with employee badging.</p>

<p>I like Chuck&#8217;s comment on what should it mean to win. I am attracted to the simplicity of DR in it is simply who gets from A to B in the shortest amount of time. <p>I&#8217;m a big fan of the newer Pyranha boats and the way they configured the chines. I think the fact they fade them out over different points along the hull is great, gives you the choice to engage or not to engage via upper body positioning. <p>I paddle the medium. I weigh between 170-175 in street clothes and feel like the boat isn&#8217;t too small or big. I have not much trouble to throw it around. I would say if anything I&#8217;m closer to the top of the range than the bottom.</p>
<p>If there is water in the river for the race, I&#8217;ll bring it with me and you can give it a test drive.</p>

<p>Such a great boat for playing around when you&#8217;re not looking to or the river you&#8217;re on just isn&#8217;t capable of doing aerial moves. If I still lived around there where the Saint was my main playground, I would for sure paddle it almost exclusively.
