Anything under 4′ on the gauge is pretty low. Hitting the bubble when it releases is key. If you want to go farther north the Saranac is also a great option, if there’s water.

I just moved to Ballwin and looking for more information on the Chain of Rocks section of the Mississippi.. From what I’m reading it says that the optimum levels for most features are anywhere from 5 to 8 ft on the gauge. But it also says the gauge is not very reliable. Is everything washed out around 15ft?
