TRR Southern Illinois (SO IL) “Galentine”
Save the date! Fri-Sun, Feb 13-15, 2026 “Gal-entine” Women’s event led by TRR Southern Illinois (SO IL) Chapter, at Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center (TON).
Fri. 3:00 pm check-in; end Sunday near 1:30 pm.

- Free for women veterans and service members, made possible through generous fundraising by the Illinois Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Women’s Committee (please become a member!)
- Each veteran may bring +1 civilian women guest (eg sister, daugher, friend, etc; youth 14 an older). Cost for civilians is $95 per, due upon registration.
We will sleep in a heated lodge, have cafeteria meals and play mostly outside! All activities are challenge-by-choice and are expected to include:
- Paddling the beautiful Cache River wetlands
- Individual High Challenges {in a harness} = Pamper Pole (Leap of Faith) & High Swing
- High Ropes Course (need 10-15 women)
- Yoga
- How to pitch a tent
- Cooking over a fire
- Archery & atlatl
- Hiking
- “Camping with Confidence” workshop.
- Foraging
- Fishing
If the weather is a problem, we’ll have indoor activities.
