Little brother and hit up the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon in Central Idaho; made it through the big ones up top and got caught off guard in a nasty recircing’ eddy.
I made it out fine, but my Mamba took a ride deep under a log…
After hours of attempting to recover, we decided it wasn’t going anywhere until the water dropped.
A day later, my brother and I are in McCall, roughly 100 miles away from the incident, when a car full of boaters strolls thru with it on top! Apparently, not long after we left and cut our losses, the boat wiggled free and got snaired in a monster log jam…
I was needless to say very thankful of the recovery ( and delivery”)
